Between 21 and 24 April 2026, the first research results of the CHITOCARE project were presented during TERMIS-EU 2026, held in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The results were presented by researchers from GdaƄsk University of Technology and the University Children's Hospital Zurich, representing the CHITOCARE consortium. TERMIS-EU is one of the leading international conferences in the fields of tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and biomaterials, bringing together scientists and experts from around the world to discuss the latest advances in biomedical research. The presented work showcased the first outcomes of the CHITOCARE project, which focuses on the development of innovative peptide–chitosan biomaterials for the treatment of diabetic wounds. The encouraging preliminary results confirm the potential of the developed materials and provide a strong foundation for further research and future translational applications. Presenting the first project results at such a prestigious international conference marks an important milestone for the CHITOCARE consortium and highlights the value of the collaboration between partners from Poland and Switzerland. We congratulate our colleagues on their successful presentation and thank all consortium partners for their commitment to the project.
